Bob Nolan used "Still Water Pool" in the March 3, 1939 Columbia film, North of the Yukon but he wrote it for a more personal reason. It was about this time that he discovered the little cabin he would use as a refuge and retreat for the rest of his life. The beautiful words of "Still Water Pool" describe Big Bear Lake and they also describe the feeling of acute loneliness he was subject to. The cabin proved to be the answer for him - a peaceful, beautiful escape from the noisy entertainment world.

We have been unable to find a copy of the film North of the Yukon yet so cannot confirm that the song is in it.
